GENO BROOKS | Founder, Exec. Producer, Director, Writer, Actor
Geno Brooks is a rising filmmaker, known for his New Media projects including award-winning web series THE THERAPIST and the HBCU greek life web series BLACK BOOTS. Brooks was an integral part of a creative collective which amassed over 60,000 subscribers, and now he has successfully built a digital streaming network channel, Artistic Standard TV that showcases more of his original and refreshing content.
He continues to sharpen his directing and writing skills as a fundamental member of an Oscar Nominated team at the leadership of recently celebrated Virgil Williams, Netflix Original MUDBOUND, and the upcoming film A JOURNAL FOR JORDAN, penned by Virgil Williams & directed by Denzel Washington. Brooks’ recently supported director Ali LeRoi (Co-creator of EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS) on the upcoming film THE OBITUARY OF TUNDE (The LAUNCH’s 1 Million Dollar screenplay competition winner). Also Brooks’ producing skills led to supporting producer Debra Martin Chase through pre-production and production of the highly anticipated Harriet Tubman bio-pic HARRIET. Brooks is an active member of the Writers Guild of America and serves as a participant on the Committee of Black Screenwriters.
The Chicago Native is an active member Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and is no stranger to adversity so Brooks volunteers with the Young Writers Program, which encourages and cultivates young writers’ skills. Brooks’ experience over the last 10 years in social services not only adds to his storytelling ability but it also exemplifies his passion for cultivating the youth. He is proactively designing a creative arts program, which will provide the educational foundation so children can explore the art by writing scripts, shooting short movies, editing, while showing them how to market them on their own.
MYLES GRIER | Creative Director, Producer, Actor
Myles Grier brings 16 years of entertainment experience to the team. At the age of 13, Grier entered the entertainment industry as a young actor in Atlanta, GA. Finding his passion in the arts, he chose to sharpen his Media Production, Theatre, and Visual Arts skills, graduating from the top performing arts high school in the city, DeKalb School of the Arts. Followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre performance from Valdosta State University and professional work in casting, supporting talent agencies, TV/Film production and post-production.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, CA in 2012, Grier has made guest appearances as talent on various primetime television programming on NBC, ABC, FreeForm, FOX, and more. He also continued his work in television production, supporting multiple series at NBCUniversal from 2012 until 2018. In 2018, Grier accepted an offer to support Academy Award nominated Producer Lee Daniels day-to-day for the year under Lee Daniels Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox.
Grier brings his visual arts and media production skills to his role as Creative Producer, having history as a graphic designer, along with his keen eye and knowledge of quality branding, marketing, and television production. Grier is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and first worked with Geno Brooks as a series regular actor on the network’s hit series, BLACK BOOTS.
MAUREEN PIERRE | Head of Production, Producer
Maureen Pierre found her passion for theatre and music at a young age, Maureen studied acting at Actors Studio Chicago and briefly sang as a back up singer for top rated band, The Steve Edwards Orchestra during her freshman year in college until focusing on school.
Maureen majored in Psychology taking minor classes in theatre at DePaul University then worked at a non-profit organization as a prevention specialist/Social Norms Marketer in developing, editing weekly posters and content for local schools to promote healthy choices amongst adolescents and teens.
In 2013, Pierre’s love for acting relocated her to Los Angeles where she landed a job as a behavioral therapist and made appearances as an actress in various awarded films, music videos and worked as a brand ambassador for Coca-Cola, Naked Juice and IZZE. Maureen felt inspired to find another outlet to hone her entertainment skills and quickly found her way into producing for Social Media Influencer, Bianca Bee. In 2014, Maureen produced studio and red carpet interviews for THE BIANCA BEE SHOW and gained experience in casting, camera operation, scheduling, scouting locations, pitching and drafting contracts with studios and talent. In 2016, Pierre produced her first play WHEN SINS COME KNOCKING, worked production on a Docu-series, TRIUMPHANT SERIES and found her way working with Geno Brooks producing digital content with The Artistic Standard.
Maureen keeps to her passion of working with adolescents, young adults with mental illness, social disabilities as a therapist and curates Vision Board Events for young women. Maureen focus is to produce, create quality content, showcasing and empowering underprivileged voices.
CHRIS MOORE | Head of Development, Writer, Producer
The journey to Hollywood for Christopher D. Moore started back in 1988. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA his childhood was filled with Marvel comic books and Saturday morning cartoons. A career in creative writing began with poetry and rapping from 2006 to 2011. He merged creative writing and video production by enrolling at Savannah College of Art and Design in the Bachelor of Arts Television Producing program. At the institute of creativity Chris learned how to write one-hour TV dramas and feature films under professor Kevin Collins, who worked as a staff writer under Felicia Henderson on Showtime’s hit series SOUL FOOD.
His sophomore year, Chris wrote and produced a 30 minute short-film called HERSTORY, where a college student loses her virginity to a distant lover when her best friend throws a wild birthday party for her. His senior internship at Atlanta’s CW69 television station gave him the opportunity to write and produced a sketch comedy show called Give Me 30! for the station’s website. Graduating with honors, Chris relocated with confidence to pursue living in Hollywood, California in 2015. His writing style can be defined as witty and even abstract.
